Christmas Chocolates

I've wanted to start a blog for awhile but am always overwhelmed by the commitment and amount of work I have perceived will be involved.  Today I've decided to "just do it."  At this point, my purpose is mainly to share some of our home school year with our home school facilitator who meets with us twice a year but we'll see, maybe it will evolve into something more.

Today is December 2, 2016 - it's so hard to believe that Christmas is a mere 23 days away!  Most of the shopping is done and gifts are wrapped and under the tree, my baking list is almost complete and slowly but surely, the to-do list is getting done.  I love this time of year - everything about it is just magical.

One of the Christmas traditions that I have shared with Austin for years is chocolate making.  Fridays are usually our more "fun" days for school as we have art, computers, and health so this was the perfect opportunity to get the chocolates made and packaged up for Austin to give away for gifts. This year's chosen flavours were salted caramel hot chocolate and candy cane.

Austin figures it looks like this "puppy" has had open heart surgery.
